SensibleVision's Face Recognition is Faster and More Secure with FastAccess Anywhere Version 5.0

FastAccess Anywhere Face Recognition 5.0 for Windows Improves Speed, Accuracy and Photo Rejection

Cape Coral, Florida, December 12, 2013 – SensibleVision, the leading supplier of face recognition that securely replaces passwords for computers and mobile devices, announces its 5th generation of face recognition on Windows PCs and tablets; offering up to 2.5 times faster recognition, lower error rate, and enhanced photo rejection.

SensibleVision introduced its enterprise-ready face recognition technology in 2006, and grew to seven million global users by delivering secure access with greater convenience than traditional passwords, pins, or fingerprint readers. Today’s version 5.0 algorithm improvements have resulted in better recognition under varied and difficult lighting conditions. This means even greater flexibility, convenience and security.

The new technology has been tested in stringent, real-life situations as well as with several standardized face databases. Results show significantly faster recognition and virtually no false recognitions, freeing users from the need to remember and type passwords to login to Windows and websites.

“Our company’s goal is to make phones, tablets and PCs easy to use while providing true security and peace of mind,” said George Brostoff, CEO of SensibleVision. “This new release further enhances the user experience by reducing password typing by up to 400%. Logging into Windows and websites is almost instantaneous with no passwords to type or remember, even in some of the most challenging lighting conditions.”

FastAccess has always offered flexible settings to support a continuum of requirements ranging from optimal convenience to iron-clad security. Testing against standardized face databases with version 5.0 resulted in zero incorrect recognitions when using FastAccess’s “High” recognition strength setting. To achieve the same error rate with the previous version, the “Maximum” recognition setting was required.

“We developed FastAccess for enterprise environments with critical security requirements,” said Cyrus Azar, Chief Technology Officer for Sensible Vision. “We later employed the same technology to develop the app for home and small business users. We are committed to continuous advancements to maintain the leading edge with FastAccess; distinguishing the solution from novelty, insecure face recognition apps on the market.

Real-life use shows significantly improved recognition without requiring as many images be cached in the biometric database. With Version 5.0, users have to enter their password less frequently, and will enjoy the benefit of automatic logins via FastAccess on the first few uses.

In addition to improved recognition, version 5.0 also touts enhanced photo rejection. Micro-motion detection senses whether access has been attempted with a photo or video, resulting in a 60% improvement in photo and video rejections.

A new, streamlined login interface and expanded website/browser support round out the list of new features that make for an enhanced experience.

FastAccess Anywhere: Protecting your stuff, one face at a time.

FastAccess Anywhere Featured on 60 Minutes

60 Minutes on CBS just aired a segment on how face recognition technology has advanced in recent years. They even pointed out that many consumer electronics and mobile devices already have face recognition technology while showing a video of FastAccess Anywhere being used on a tablet!

We're truly honored that they liked our product and video enough to choose FastAccess Anywhere for their segment!

They covered a number of important privacy concerns with other face recognition products that we fully agree with. Here are a couple of things we'd like to clarify and expand upon:

  1. The segment focused on how face recognition can be used to "invade" your privacy and bombard you with targeted marketing. With some face recognition products that’s true. However... FastAccess Anywhere does just the *opposite* - it helps keep your content and devices secure AND private by using your face instead of passwords. You're always in control of the face recognition and, with its strong encryption, it's virtually impossible for anyone else to ever access your face database.

  2. The segment examines how the government is assembling a "master face database." We'd like to point out that every FastAccess Anywhere Cloud Account is it's OWN database with NO access to anyone else's biometric or credential data. Nobody can break into multiple accounts and there's no "master face database" with everybody's face in it. We take your security and privacy very seriously.

To the staff and crew over at 60 Minutes: We'd love for you to try out FastAccess Anywhere and see how cool it is. Drop us a line and we'll get you set up! Also, next time we'd like to ask that you reach out to us before using photos or video of FastAccess Anywhere so we can answer any questions your might have and officially give permission to be included in your show. Thanks!

Everyone else should head to our download page and try out the best, fastest, and most secure face recognition out there. For Windows, Android, iPad, and iPhone.

SensibleVision’s Face Recognition Login App Available on iTunes and Google Play

FastAccess Anywhere Face Recognition for Android, iPhone®, & iPad® offers fast login & password sync
with all FastAccess-enabled devices

Covert, Michigan, March 5, 2013 – SensibleVision, the leading supplier of face recognition that securely replaces passwords for computers and mobile devices, has launched FastAccess Anywhere Face Recognition for Android, iPhone®, and iPad®. These mobile platforms work seamlessly with FastAccess Anywhere for Windows and give you the freedom to easily and securely use all your important websites at home, in the office, or on the go.

FastAccess Anywhere is available now for iPhone and for iPad and on Google Play for Android devices.

FastAccess Anywhere logs you into websites by recognizing your face. And on Android devices, FastAccess Anywhere can even log you into apps. It takes passwords out of the equation.

“Until now, it’s been a hassle to use banking, shopping, and other secure sites on phones or tablets,” said George Brostoff, CEO of SensibleVision. “Remembering passwords is a challenge, and typing the passwords on small touch screens is cumbersome and prone to mistakes. FastAccess Anywhere removes those hurdles. Logging in becomes simple and natural, and you get the most from your devices.”

On all platforms, password-protected web sites are easily and safely accessible on the go. A user begins by launching a protected site on the device. The person’s face is quickly recognized, and he or she touches a Secret Shape—a second factor designed to eliminate photo or video attacks. On Android devices, the capability of FastAccess Anywhere extends to individual apps as well. Protect sensitive apps so only you can use them, but allow your family easy access to games and other apps.

In addition, FastAccess Anywhere’s secure and encrypted cloud server makes it easy to change a password on one device and have all of the others updated automatically. Passwords in the FastAccess Cloud work with any FastAccess Anywhere-enabled device, including Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch®.

“Many of us own several devices and operate across multiple platforms—it’s not unusual to see an iPad, a Windows PC, and an Android phone in one household,” said Darin Beery, Director of Sales & Marketing of Sensible Vision. “Our goal is to make using these devices easier and more fun while giving you greater protection in the case of unauthorized use or even theft.”

Unlike other face recognition, FastAccess Anywhere’s security is better than most passwords, without the need to actually type a password on a small touch screen. Users are free to use their mobile phone or tablet for nearly every transaction imaginable.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:

THE STANDARD: Over 7 million users.

SECURE: Fast, touch-friendly, two-factor security lets you use your face with a Secret Shape or Gesture to increase security and reject photos and videos while keeping login quick and easy.

PROVEN: SensibleVision’s Face Recognition technology was developed for enterprise environments with critical security requirements and later brought to home and small business users. This background sets FastAccess Anywhere apart from novelty, insecure face recognition apps.
