1. I get repeated messages stating “This program has known compatibility issues”. Why is this happening and how do I get rid of it?
With the June 22nd Windows Update for Win7, Microsoft updated a message intended to alert users if they have a copy of facial recognition software that is too old support Win7. This Microsoft alert message may also trigger (potentially incorrectly!) on Alienware computers with AlienSense. You received AlienSense software as a feature on your Alienware laptop’s Command Center software when it was originally shipped. Unfortunately, this Microsoft alert message can be difficult to close.

There are a few simple ways to correct this issue. Any one or all of these options will work:

Hide the Microsoft message: 
This is ideal if you never use Aliensense.
1. Check the box in the lower left corner labeled “Don’t show this message again”.
2. Click the “Run Program” button. This step is unintuitive, but required to prevent the message from reoccurring.

Update your software to a Win7 compatible version:

AlienSense is an integrated part of the Alienware Command Center. To update AlienSense, the entire Command Center must be updated.

3. What is the required version of Command Center so that AlienSense works under Win7?
Command Center 2.5.44.0 A05 is required for full Win7 support. This version of Command Center contains AlienSense version 2.4.73. Click here to download this version of Command Center from Alienware. Please contact Alienware directly for details on how to install or update the Command Center.
