FAR/FRR

Through Sensible Vision’s patent pending CAS (Continuous Adaptive Sensing) technology, FastAccess finally breaks the traditional “tug of war” between high rates of recognition and low rates of false acceptances. Using a US government facial recognition database, FastAccess achieves a FAR of less than 1x10-6 (and order of magnitude better than most fingerprint readers) while still maintaining the industry’s leading recognition rate.

Intelligent Detail Tracking

FastAccess tracks anywhere from 100 to 1000 points of detail in the face in real-time. By not relying on predetermined points of detail like other algorithms (such as the corners of the mouth or eyes, for example), but instead analyzing all the points of detail available in a given image, FastAccess has the greatest possible flexibility at handling different lighting conditions while still maintaining accuracy rates an order or magnitude greater than other face and fingerprint solutions.

Regional Analysis

FastAccess divides the face into numerous regions by facial features. It analyzes the entire video frame and accepts a match within a standard deviation. When a whole frame match is made, further analysis is done on the individual regions to ensure the greatest possible accuracy and confidence in the matches made.

Flexible Image Source Requirements

Effective results given a video input of 320x240 with face occupying no more than 70x70 pixels! FastAccess supports a wide variety of standard, readily available cameras including most USB webcams.

Speed

FastAccess is not just fast, it's efficient. Because video acquisition, analysis and database comparison work can be done on the local client, FastAccess effectively has a distributed computing model that allows for massive, effortless scalability. Other solutions use statistics like "a matching speed of 100,000 faces per second" to sound fast.

FastAccess can perform a similar simple database search this quickly, but where it truly excels is in the far more important area of image acquisition and processing. This is accomplished in real-time, on every frame of video, against a database of more users than would ever actually use a given computer or device, all with no noticeable impact on the system's performance.

Minimal System Requirements

FastAccess was designed to have a footprint with minimal impact on any device on which it is installed.

Programming language

The FastAccess SDK can be used with any .NET compatible programming language. Coding examples are provided in C++ and C#. Other languages can be supported upon request. A forthcoming release will provide Linux support.
